About to meet Flamengo again at Maracanã, Everton Ribeiro believes in Bahia’s triumph and in the team’s pursuit of the Brasileirão title

O Bahia started the Brasileirão with everything and, after nine rounds, the team led by Rogério Ceni tjust one point less than the leader Botafogo and occupies 3rd place. Everton Ribeiroone of the big signings for this season, believes that the Squadron can continue to seek good results and remain a competitive team.

“We have been doing a very good job, I believe that we are evolving, facing great teams as well. So that’s the thinking in Bahia, fighting for titles. I believe that in the coming years the team will become increasingly stronger and will get used to fighting for big things again. Our goal is to end this year very well and, God willing, champion.”said Bahia’s number 10.

Bahia, however, will face a complicated challenge in the 10th round. In a direct confrontation by position, the northeastern team will have to visit the Flamengo, current vice-leader, and has the chance to take the lead in the Brasileirão after the game. Everton Ribeiro, who won two Brazilian titles with Mengão, planned this reunion in Maracanã.

“Very happy to be able to return to Maracanã. Even happier to be playing and competing in an important game like this, worth leadership, worth the first places. When I came here that was my goal. Have a competitive team, with ambition. My companions have helped me a lot. Now it’s time to enjoy this moment,” said the midfielder.
