Former Lokomotiv coach Yuri Semin expressed the opinion that the striker Fyodor Smolov can “experience a second youth” after moving to Krasnodar.
On Tuesday, Krasnodar announced the signing of 34-year-old Smolov to a one-year contract. Previously, the footballer played for the team from 2015 to 2018. The striker is the top scorer in the club’s history, with 64 goals in 101 matches.
— In Krasnodar, Smolov can experience a second youth. It’s a new challenge for him. I wish Fedor as many goals as possible,” Semin told RB Sport.
Since 2022, Smolov plays for Dynamo; he has previously played for Feyenoord, Anzhi, Ural, Lokomotiv and Celta. He also scored 16 goals in 45 matches for the Russian national team.
