Chelsea is considering signing defender Murillo, ex-Corinthians

After a standout season at Nottingham Forest, former Corinthians defender Murillo is a target for Chelsea and other European giants

Murillo left Corinthians and in a few months in Premier Leagueshowed that he is here to stay. Elected the best player of the Nottingham Forest last season, the defender caught the attention of the English giants. According to ‘The Guardian’, the Chelsea made a consultation and is studying the signing of the Brazilian, but will have to open the coffers to complete this deal.

According to the English publication, Murillo’s transfer fee is around £70 million, around R$486 million at the current exchange rate. Nottingham Forest’s first response did not excite Chelsea, who are trying to make the deal more viable by offering players in exchange for the defender. The name of the moment is Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah is a 24-year-old centre-back who came through the Blues’ youth ranks and, despite being frequently used, is a player who is available to sell in order to bring in Murillo. However, the Londoners will have to keep an eye on the competition, as, according to the journalist Fabrizio Romanoother European clubs are keeping an eye on the Brazilian, as is the case with Juventus.

Chelsea are looking to have a transfer window with some punctual arrivals, unlike the last ones in which they signed with a lot of volume. However, he will have to get rid of some players from the current squad and, according to ‘The Guardian’, Chalobah is one of those athletes considered negotiable.

Since then, the defender has played 36 games for the club and impressed fans with his impressive vision of the game, as well as showing great solidity on the defensive side.
