PSV officially announced the signing of the defender Serginho Desta on a permanent basis. The wide footballer has formalized his relationship with the Eindhoven club until 2028.
PSV have loaned Dest from Barcelona in the summer of 2023. The one-year agreement included a buyout option, in which case the Blaugrana would retain a percentage of the player’s future sale. In November, it was reported that the Dutch club intended to buy Serginho for 10 million euros.
In the 2023/24 season, the American played 37 matches in all competitions, scored two goals and provided seven assists. He is currently continuing to recover from a serious injury received in May.
PSV became the champions of the Netherlands at the end of last season. Also, Peter Bosz’s team reached the 1/8 finals of the Champions League, where they lost to Borussia D (1:1, 0:2).
