Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas became a player “Como” which plays in the second division of the Italian championship.
Fabregas arrived at the Como base on Monday. The club posted a photo of the 35-year-old footballer at the team stadium on Twitter in a match t-shirt. According to the Daily Mail, the contract was signed until 2024.
– It is a great honor and pleasure for me to join Como. I am very lucky that my career has allowed me to play in the best clubs and Como is no exception. After long negotiations, the owners spoke to me in detail about one of the most striking and ambitious projects in football.
That’s why I want to build a long-term future here, not only on the pitch, but also off it. I believed in the club’s project from the first moment and decided to invest myself personally here to be part of it,” said Fabregas.
The Spaniard’s last club was Monaco, where he left Chelsea in January 2019. Fabregas left Monaco in June. Previously, the footballer also played for Barcelona and Arsenal. In the 2021/22 season, Fabregas has made five appearances for the Monegasques and hasn’t scored with effective action.
Fabregas is the 2010 world champion and double European champion with Spain.
