Earlier, the media reported that the footballer was disqualified for two matches for a nationalistic gesture in the Euro 2024 1/8 final against Austria (2:1).
“The reports that UEFA has disqualified Demiral for two matches are not true. The protection of our player will last until Friday morning,” the federation said in a statement.
