Athletistic / Football. The communications department of the Russian Football Union (RFU) has published information about the admission of two Media Football League (MFL) clubs to participate in the Russian Cup for the 2024/2025 season. The lucky winners were 2DROTS and BrokeBoys from Moscow.
Earlier, it was learned that the finalists of the 5th season of the Media League are competing for a ticket to the National Cup. It is 2DROTS and the Broke Boys who will play the decisive match of the current MFL.
For the first time, media football clubs took part in the Russian Cup in the 2022/2023 season. Amkal and 2DROTS were then allowed to participate in the tournament under the auspices of the RFU. A year later, Rodina Media and 2DROTS took part in the MFL Country Cup. It is worth noting that the representatives of the Media League managed to pass several stages of the Cup.
The current holder of the Russian Cup is Zenit. On June 2, in the superfinal of the tournament, Sergei Semak’s team defeated Kaliningrad “Baltika” with a score of 2:1.
