Korea’s Bang Hyo-Jin Wins 10m Rifle Gold at 2024 Olympics, Two Athletes Equal Olympic Record

The fate of the championship title was decided by a shootout after the main competition

Korean Ban Hyo-Jin won gold in shooting 10m air rifle on Olympics 2024 in Paris.

The 16-year-old athlete snatched the championship title in a tense battle with Chinese Huang Yuting. Bang was confidently ahead, but made two unsuccessful last shots, which is why Huang caught up with her. The fate of the gold was decided by a shoot-off – the Korean won it with a hit of 10.4 against the Chinese 10.3.

Note that Ban and Juan are together repeated the Olympic record 2021 – 251.8 points. The bronze medal went to Audrey Gognath from Switzerland.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
