Ukrainian Kulish wins silver at 2024 Olympics in air rifle shooting

Second medal for Ukraine at the Paris Games

Ukrainian Sergey Kulish won silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in competitions on bullet shooting With air rifle With 50 meters.

Sergey showed the third result in the selection in shooting from three positions, having scored 592 points. From the first position with an Olympic qualification record (594), the Chinese Liu Yukun entered the final.

In the final competition, the Ukrainian successfully shot from all three positions. In the end, Kulish lost only to Yukun: Sergey scored 461.3 points, Liu – 463.6. Bronze went to Swapnil Kusale from India.

For Kulish, this is the second medal in his career at the Olympic Games. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio, the Ukrainian won silver in air rifle shooting from 10 meters.

Kulish brought Ukraine its second medal at the Games in Paris. Earlier Olga Harlan won a bronze medal in sabre fencing.

The competition will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
