The 37-year-old midfielder returned to the Portuguese championship
Estrela announced the transfer of the former national team winger Portugal Nani.
The 37-year-old player signed a contract with the Portuguese club until the summer of 2025.
From 2006 to 2017, Nani played 112 matches for the Portugal national team, scoring 24 goals. With the national team, Nani triumphed at Euro 2016 in France, and also won bronze at Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland.
The main club in the Portuguese’s career was Manchester United, for which he played from 2007 to 2015. Together with the Mancunians, Nani became the Premier League champion four times, won the FA Community Shield four times, and also became the winner of the Champions League and the Club World Cup.
Nani’s last club was Turkish Adana Demirspor. Last season, the winger played 28 matches in the Turkish Super League, scoring 4 goals and making 2 assists.
Estrela play in the Portuguese top flight. The team coached by Sergio Vieira finished only 14th last season, one point above the relegation zone.
