The Brazilian defender was the captain of Kharkiv last season
Metalist officially said goodbye to four of his former footballers – goalkeeper by Dmitry Fastovdefenders Gabriel Gomez And Andrey Buskoas well as a midfielder Yuri Golubka.
Gomez and Busko were key players in the Kharkiv team last season, playing 27 and 25 matches, respectively. The 24-year-old Brazilian was the captain of Metalist and scored two goals. The 27-year-old Ukrainian has two assists. It should be noted that Busko has already joined Bukovyna as a free agent.
In the 2023/24 season, 28-year-old Golubka took to the field 12 times and scored one goal. 27-year-old Fastov, playing on loan from Karpaty, played six matches for the yellow-blues, in which he conceded 11 times. In one case, he managed to keep the goal “locked”.
Let us recall that Sport Arena previously reported that the former Metalist goalkeeper would move to Left Bank as a free agent. And so it happened: Fastov even managed to get into the application of Vitaliy Pervak’s team for the final match of the “Tournament of Four” against Minaj (3:0), where it won a historic promotion to the UPL.
For Metalist, the new season will begin on August 3 (base date) with an away match of the first preliminary round of the 2024/25 Ukrainian Cup against FC Olkhovtsy. In the first round of Group A of the First League, Andriy Anishchenko’s team will play away against Agrobiznes. The approximate date is August 8.
