West Ham announce Borussia Dortmund sign Fullkrug

The aging striker scored 15 goals for the Bumblebees last season and scored twice at the home Euro

West Ham officially announced the signing of the striker German national team Niklas Füllkrugwhich moved from Borussia Dortmund.

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but according to authoritative sources, it is estimated to be around 27 million euros.

Fullkrug is 31 years old. He joined Borussia from Werder last summer and scored 15 goals this season (including a 1-0 win over PSG in the first semi-final of the Champions League) and made 10 assists in 43 matches. For the German national team, Niklas scored 13 goals in 21 matches. At Euro 2024, he scored twice, coming on exclusively as a substitute.

Earlier this summer, Borussia signed Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart, the second-highest scorer in the Bundesliga last season (after the phenomenal Harry Kane) with 28 goals.

West Ham have made a £40m move for Wolves defender and captain Max Kilman this off-season, while the Hammers are also reported to be in talks with Al Ittihad for N’Golo Kante and Bayern Munich for Noussair Mazraoui.

The Hammers will begin the new season on August 17 with a home match against Aston Villa.
