Luhansk residents have been interested in the footballer, who had a strong second round in Lyubenovich’s team, since at least the end of spring
Dawn officially announced that the team’s roster has been joined by an attacking midfielder Timur Korablinwho previously played for Minay.
According to the Transfermarkt portal, the transfer amount could have been 150 thousand euros.
Korablin is 22 years old, a versatile player who can play in various positions in midfield. Timur had a strong second half under Zeljko Ljubenovic. The team was transformed then: they scored 19 points in 15 matches and were in contention for salvation until the last round, but still left the elite division.
In total, Korablin played 23 matches for the Transcarpathian club last season, scored four goals and made two assists. All of his scoring efforts occurred in the spring part of the championship. At the end of July, Timur played in both matches of the “Tournament of Four” for a vacant place in the UPL, where Minaj beat Epicenter on penalties, but lost to Levyi Beger (0:3).
It was unlikely that Korablin, one of Minay’s main assets, would stay with the team in the First League. At the end of May, Timur himself said that four elite division clubs (including Zorya) were interested in him, and three of them had already made specific offers.
Zorya took tenth place in the last UPL draw. In the first round of the new season, Yuriy Koval’s team beat Ingulets with great difficulty – the nominal hosts snatched victory (2:1) only in injury time thanks to the efforts of Oleksandr Yatsyk (a potential competitor of Korablin).
In the second round, Zorya will play away against Chornomorets on August 10.
