The footballer signed a four-year contract
Metalist 1925 officially announced the transfer of the Chernomorets defender Vladimir Saluk.
The 22-year-old footballer signed a four-year contract. In the new team, Vladimir will play under number 13.
Earlier it was reported that Kharkiv would pay Moryak 600 thousand euros. Chornomorets would also receive 10% of the player’s next transfer. In the fight for the player, Metalist 1925 beat Karpaty, who were ready to pay the same 600 thousand euros, but wanted to take Salyuk without paying interest for the subsequent transfer.
In Chernomorets, the 22-year-old centre-back had an undisputed place in the club’s starting lineup, having played 53 matches in the last two UPL competitions, scoring two goals.
Metalist 1925 failed to make it into the UPL, losing to Left Bank in the “tournament of four” for a vacant spot in the elite division. After the defeat, Kharkiv’s head coach Viktor Skripnik resigned. The acting coach of the reserve team, Sergei Karpenko, was temporarily appointed.
In the first round of the 2024/25 First League, Metalist 1925 will play Mariupol. The Group B match will take place on August 8.
