Istanbul Fenerbahçe failed to beat Izmir Göztepe in the away match of the second round of the Turkish Premier League.
The match took place in Izmir and ended with a score of 2:2.
After the first half, Fenerbahce led 2:0 – Edin Dzeko and Youssef En-Nesyri scored. In the second half, Göztepe bounced back thanks to the precise shots of Koray Gunther and Romulo.
Fenerbahçe have scored four points from two matches and sit second in the standings, while Göztepe are eighth with two points.
In June, Fenerbahçe was managed by José Mourinho; the contract with the 61-year-old Portuguese is for two years. The Portuguese was sacked from Roma in January. Before that, he coached English sides Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto.
