Ukrainian had a great match against Osasuna
Mentor Girona Michel summed up the results of the confrontation with Osasuna (4:0) in the third round of La Liga and singled out the performance of the Ukrainian winger Victor Tsygankov.
“Tsygankov is very important for us, like Gazzaniga, Ivan and others. He is able to provide continuity in the game, he assisted and scored, we need his qualities and we demand that he improves.”
In the 34th minute, Victor made a great pass into the penalty area from the right flank, and Girona’s summer newcomer Bryan Gil sent the ball into the net of the Pamplona team.
In the 53rd minute, Tsygankov himself scored his debut goal of the season – after a cross from the left flank and a rebound from a defender, the ball went to Viktor, who calmly sent it into the goal from the goal line.
These are Tsygankov’s first goalscoring performances in the 2024/25 season. Let us recall that the Ukrainian missed the first round match against Betis (1:1) due to illness, and spent 68 minutes on the field in the match against Atletico (0:3).
Girona have four points from three matches played. Michel’s men will play their next match away from home against Sevilla on September 1.
