Vitaly Pervak’s team had a strong second half
The fifth round match took place UPL — Left bank won a strong-willed victory away from home Veres (3:1).
The score was opened in the 15th minute – Veres captain Ruslan Stepanyuk scored his first goal after returning to the Rivne club. In the 34th minute, the hosts could have doubled their advantage, but Nikolai Gaiduchik missed a penalty.
The left bank equalized the score in the 66th minute – the team’s newcomer Klim Prikhodko scored, having come on as a substitute only a minute before. For the 24-year-old midfielder, this was his debut match with the Kyiv club after moving from Kryvbas.
In the 82nd minute, Prikhodko assisted young Taras Galas, who opened his goal account at the UPL level. The final point in the match was put by Ruslan Dedukh, who converted a penalty.
Veres still has four points to his credit – Oleg Shandruk’s charges are 13th in the standings. The left bank, after three “dry” defeats at the start, has come to its senses and seems to have finally adapted to the elite division.
In the next round, Veres will play away against Polesie on September 15, and Left Bank will host Kryvbas on the same day.
