“Alexander Kerzhakov is leaving Kairat. The contract with him was terminated by mutual agreement. Together with Kerzhakov, his assistants Vladimir Kazakov and Ruslan Adjinjal are leaving the club. Alexander took over the team at the end of May and under his leadership “Kairat” played 12 matches, winning six times, drawing three times and losing three times to opponents. Kerzhakov was appointed head coach of Kairat on May 29. His team played four matches in July, winning twice and drawing twice. In August, Kerzhakov was recognized as the best coach of July at the Kazakhstan Championship. After 18 rounds, Kairat leads the championship with 32 points, ahead of second-placed Aktobe with 31 points.
