Kabaev: No one in the national team is relaxing and working to ensure that this is not the last challenge

The blue-yellows will play two matches in September

Midfielder of Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team Vladislav Kabaev commented on the upcoming matches of the blue-yellows in Nations League 2024/25.

“I don’t want to say trivial things, but I am very glad, I am happy. I will represent my country and I understand that although I am already 29 years old, and there are many young people in the national team, I have a lot of strength and energy to play for our country. I want to please the fans and help the team achieve high goals.”

“Getting into the national team is a little easier than securing a place in it. That’s why no one here is relaxing and working so that this isn’t the last challenge. I want to prove myself in the best possible light.”

“As for the press, of course, everyone wants to read only pleasant things about themselves, but with age and experience, you begin to understand that they write a lot of negative things. But I read somewhere that even negative things mean that the person watched the match and paid attention to you. And attention is already good.”

“I am a maximalist, very demanding of myself. I want to give, and score, and for the team to win. But I don’t want to make big promises now, but I will try to fulfill everything the coach demands. And then – time will tell.”

The blue-yellows have already gathered in Prague and held their first training session. Let us recall that the blue-yellows’ coach Serhiy Rebrov called up 26 footballers. Another six players are on the reserve list.

Let us recall that Ukraine will start the new Nations League draw on September 7, with a “home” match against Albania. The match will take place in Prague at the Epet Arena stadium, tickets for the match are already on sale.

At the same stadium on September 10, the blue-yellows will play a second-round match – this time away, against the Czech team. Tickets for this match can be purchased on the official website.

In October, Serhiy Rebrov’s team will play Georgia in Poznan, after which the second match will take place with the Czech Republic in Wroclaw. Ukraine will play the matches of the final two rounds in Group B1 of the 2024/2025 Nations League in November of this year.
