Obolon announced the dismissal of head coach Ivaschenko

Shishchenko should become the new coach of the Kiev team

Obolon officially announced the dismissal of the team’s head coach Valeria Ivaschenko.

Ivaschenko began working as a coach for the Kiev team in the summer of 2013. As head coach, he held 119 official matches, in which Obolon won 43 times, drew 30 times and lost 46 matches.

Under Ivaschenko’s leadership, the Kyiv team entered the UPL for the first time in the club’s modern history. In the 2023/24 season, the team took 14th place in the standings and was able to maintain its place in the UPL in the transitional matches.

Earlier it was reported that Sergey Shishchenko will become the new head coach of Pivovarov. The parties have reached a fundamental agreement on cooperation. The official presentation of the coach is expected in the near future.

In the 2024/25 season that has just started, Obolon has taken only one point in five opening matches of the UPL. The team lost the previous four matches of the championship with a total score of 0:12.

Obolon is in the last place in the UPL standings. In the next round of the Ukrainian championship, the team will play against Oleksandriya on September 13.
