The blue-yellows will play in the continental championship for the second time in a row
Ukrainian Youth Team beat Northern Ireland in the qualifying match of the tournament European Championship 2025.
Unai Melgosa’s men scored two goals in the first half. The goals were scored by Dynamo players Nazar Voloshin and Maxim Bragaru.
Towards the end of the game, the Northern Irish reduced the deficit by converting a penalty kick, but they could not do more. It should be noted that Ukraine played the rest of the game with one man down after Arseniy Batagov was sent off.
Ukraine U-21 won all eight matches in the UEFA Euro 2025 qualifiers and secured a place in the continental championship ahead of schedule. Even if Melgosa’s team lets England, which is five points behind, get into the top three second-placed teams and a direct ticket to the European Championship.
In the next match, the Ukrainian youth team will play against their peers from England on October 11. Four days later, the blue-yellows will meet Serbia.
