The match between Chelsea and Barrow will take place in the 1/16 finals of the English League Cup
Head coach Chelsea Enzo Maresca assessed the chances of the Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudrik take part in the match 1/16 finals of the English League Cup against Barrow.
“Competition with Sancho for Mudrik? It is important for him, competition is important for all the players. They train very well every day. Unfortunately, I cannot give them many chances. Mudrik, like all the other players who do not get much playing time, will have a good chance to show themselves tomorrow and help us win the game against Barrow.”
In the 2024/25 season that has just started, Mudryk only once appeared in the Chelsea starting lineup in an EPL match. In total, the Ukrainian played 4 matches (2 in the EPL, 2 in the Conference League qualification), without any scoring.
Earlier, there was information that Marseille was showing interest in Mudryk, who wanted to rent the winger in the winter transfer window. The Provencal club is headed by Roberto De Zerbi, who previously worked with Mudryk at Shakhtar.
The Chelsea vs. Barrow match will take place tomorrow, September 24. Kick-off is 21:45 Kyiv time.
