Former CSKA footballer Tosic has announced his retirement

Former Moscow midfielder CSKA Zoran Tosic announced his retirement.

Tosic is 37 years old, the Serbian defended the colors of CSKA from 2010 to 2017.

“Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end one day.” I hoped this moment would never come, but I am now convinced that the time has come to end my football career.

There have been many trophies, victories, ups and downs, but the love for football has always been there. Thanks to my family who made this journey possible. Thanks to the coaches, teammates, everyone who has been with me for 20 years. I am especially proud to have played for 10 years for my country, Serbia. I have always had a special desire to play for the national team. And finally, a big thank you to the fans of the clubs where I have played, I have always felt sincere support.

I’m taking off my football boots, but football remains my greatest love and passion. See you in a different role. Your Bambi,” Tosic wrote on the social network.

As a member of CSKA, Tosic became Russian champion three times and won the country’s Cup and Super Cup twice each. The Serbian also played for Partizan, Manchester United, Cologne, Tobol, Taizhou Yuanda and Lamia.

Tosic made his debut for the Serbian national team in September 2007, he made 76 appearances for the national team and scored 11 goals.
