The Ukrainian goalkeeper missed a goal already in the 8th minute of the match
Benfica beat Gil Vicente in the home match of the 7th round Portuguese Championship – 5:1.
The guests surprised the giants already in the 8th minute – Felix Correia took advantage of Kanya Fujimoto’s pass and left no chance for Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin.
The Eagles quickly came back with the help of Nicolas Otamendi, who turned in Angel Di Maria’s corner kick. Eight minutes later, Kerem Akturkoglu gave Benfica the lead.
Towards the end of the meeting, the Benfica players scored three more goals and removed all questions about the winner.
For Trubin, this was the eighth match for the Eagles in the 2024/25 season. The goalkeeper missed six goals and kept three clean sheets.
Benfica scored 16 points and moved up to second place in the Portuguese championship. Gil Vicente is in 10th position.
