Former footballer for the Russian national team, Spartak and Lokomotiv Alexei Kosolapov On the air of MATCH PRIME, he admitted that he would not mind working as head coach of the “red and whites” in the future.
Kosolapov, who played as a defender and midfielder, graduated from Spartak, but in Russia he is better known for his performances at Lokomotiv (1993-1998), with whom he won the National Cup twice.
Currently, Kosolapov works as the head coach of the Sakhalin team of the Second League.
— Do you still consider yourself a Spartacist or a railway worker?
— You know, I was born in Pushkin, in the Moscow region, and the Spartak base was eight minutes away by train. And my father, may he rest in heaven, always took me, took me with him, because they had friendly matches with the Spartak reserve team and they rented a field there, and I I have always been a Spartacist at heart.
But when this exchange took place, since then, I have not been a fan of Spartak, since 1993. Now only Lokomotiv! But in hockey, I am for Spartak!
— Do you want to try working as a head coach at some level?
“What soldier doesn’t want to be a general?” (laughs)
— Can you imagine if they would invite you to Spartak?
– And I do not exclude such a moment! Maybe it will happen! – Kosolapov said on the air of the program “All About the Main” on MATCH PRIME.
