Turin Juventus plans to terminate contract with French midfielder Paul Pogba reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Last year it became known that Pogba’s drug test was positive for testosterone. Later, sample “B” was opened, which gave the same result. Pogba was banned for four years in February. The day before, Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel reported that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) had reduced Pogba’s disqualification to 18 months.
Despite this, Juventus wants to terminate the contract due to the midfielder’s high salary. Pogba’s contract with the tournament runs until the summer of 2026.
Pogba is 31 years old, world champion and winner of the Nations League with the France team. As a member of Juventus, he became a four-time Italian champion and won the Europa League with Manchester United.
