Madrid Real reported that the team’s winger Vinicius Junior A cervical spine injury was diagnosed.
The Brazilian’s recovery time frame has not been announced. In yesterday’s match with Villarreal (2:0), Vinicius Junior scored in the 73rd minute and was replaced in the 79th minute.
Against Villarreal, Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal also suffered a cruciate ligament injury and will undergo surgery in the near future.
Let us remind you that Vinicius Junior was called up to the Brazilian national team for the qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup against Chile (October 11) and Peru (October 16). It is not yet known whether the winger will go to the national team, or whether its coach Dorival Junior will make a change in the application and call someone instead of Vinicius.
