Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi is among the nominees for the title of best footballer of the MLS regular season, reports the press service of the North American league.
A total of 34 players made the list, including Christian Benteke (DC United), Federico Bernardeschi (Toronto), Roman Bürki (St. Louis), Luis Suarez (Inter Miami) and his Russian teammate Alexei Miranchuk for Atlanta United Saba Lobzhanidze.
Voting closes on October 21. The MLS regular season began on February 21 and will end on October 19.
Messi, 37, has scored 17 goals and provided 15 assists in 18 MLS matches this year.
