In the last round, Shakhtar defeated LNZ (5:1) in Lviv, and Sudakov chalked up poker. This has not happened in the UPL since 2017 – then Alexandria forward Stanislav Kulish scored four goals in the match with Volyn (6:0).
In total, this poker became the 13th in the entire history of the Ukrainian Championship. The only player who scored four goals in one game twice in his career was Ivan Getsko – in 1999, as part of Karpaty, he scored a poker goal against Dnepr (4:0), and in 2000, he distinguished himself with a similar achievement as part of Krivbass in the match with Ternopil Niva (5:1).
Shakhtar continues to be 4th in the UPL standings. Marino Pusic’s team scored 16 points after 8 rounds.
Shakhtar will play its next match on October 18 away against Kolos.
