Famous ex-striker Ukrainian national team, Shakhtar, Dnieper and other clubs Evgeny Seleznev can continue his football career as a functionary by taking a position in the club First League YUKSA.
The 39-year-old player of the amateur football club Armat was spotted on November 5 during the match YUKSA – Kudrovka (3:4) in the company of Sergei Lesnik, the president of the club from the Kiev region. It will be reported that Evgeniy may receive a position in the structure of the South Korean Sports Academy, in particular, take the post of sports director.
Seleznev completed his professional career in the spring of 2024. The striker played more than 500 official matches during his career in clubs and the Ukrainian national team. Seleznev played 257 matches and scored 117 goals in the UPL. The last time the forward took to the field was two years ago, in September 2022 – Evgeniy played 7 minutes for Minaj in the match with Lvov (0:1).
During his career, Seleznev played, in addition to the Uzhgorod club, for the Ukrainian Shakhtar, Arsenal, Dnepr and Kolos, Russian Kuban (2016), Turkish Karabükspor, Akhisarspor and Bursaspor, and Spanish Malaga.
YUKSA is a fairly young (founded in 2015) football club from the village of Tarasovka, Fastovsky district, Kyiv region. The club declares the promotion of Christian values (UCSA – Ukrainian Christian Sports Academy).
Last year, YUKSA made its debut at the professional level, immediately took second place in the Second League, after which it easily defeated MFK Metallurg in the play-offs (3:1, 4:0) and moved up in class.
Not long ago, YUKSA was the leader in Group B of the First League, and now it ranks second there after 9 rounds, three points behind Poltava.
