Kroos will miss it because of a children’s match at his football academy

Team Germany before the match Nations League 2024/25 against Netherlands will hold a farewell ceremony for its legendary ex-players who retired from international careers after Euro 2024.

The ceremony will be dedicated to the Bayern goalkeeper and forward Manuel Neuer And Thomas MüllerManchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and ex-Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos. But if the first three attend this ceremony in person, Kroos will miss it because of a children’s football match at his academy.

All four players played a total of 451 matches for the German national team (Neuer – 124, Gundogan – 82 (19 goals), Kroos – 114 (17 goals), Müller – 131 (45 goals)). These players were an important part of Germany winning the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Let us remind you that Toni Kroos ended not only his international, but also his playing career in general after Euro 2024. The 34-year-old ex-Real Madrid midfielder signed up for UEFA category B coaching courses.

The 2024/25 Nations League match between Germany and the Netherlands will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Monday, October 14.
