A serious fight begins for the German defender
Another club has joined the fight for a center back Bayer Jonathan Ta.
It’s about Barcelona. The Catalan club is evaluating the German and has added the defender to the list of potential transfers.
Jonathan Ta is a product of Hamburg, from where he moved to Leverkusen in 2015. Jonathan’s current deal expires next summer.
Last season, Ta made 48 appearances for Bayer in all competitions. The defender scored six goals and gave one assist. As part of the German national team, Ta was the main center back at Euro 2024.
In September, the German openly announced his departure from Bayer at the end of the season. In the summer, the player was unsuccessfully pursued by Bayern, and recently it was reported that there was interest from Juventus.
This season, 27-year-old Ta has scored one goal in 10 matches for the Pharmacists in all competitions.
Bayer are in fifth place in the Bundesliga after six rounds. Barcelona leads La Liga, three points ahead of Real Madrid.
