Federico Dimarco spoke about the most difficult time in his life.
Today Federico Dimarco is considered one of the key players for Simone Inzaghi’s Inter.
But, as the 26-year-old defender himself admitted, there was a moment that almost ended his career.
“When I was at Sion (2017), I wanted to give up everything. I immediately broke my metatarsal in the first game, and I also lost my son that year. Those 5 months were a disaster .”
“Nobody wants me even from Serie B. But I don’t give up, I want to think about those who don’t believe in me,” Italian journalist Nicolo Schira quoted the footballer as saying.
A year after moving to Sion, Dimarco returned to Inter. Two loans to Parma and Verona later, he became an integral part of the Nerazzurri and helped them win the Italian Championship in the 2023/24 season.
This season, Federico Dimarco played in eight Inter matches, where he scored one goal and one assist.
