Reds fans can gradually calm down, as the defender wants to stay at the club.
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is set to continue his career at Anfield.
The 33-year-old Dutchman’s contract with the Merseysiders expires next summer, but the center back himself has confirmed that he intends to discuss a new deal with the club.
“Negotiations are continuing with the right people to discuss my new contract with Liverpool,” the player was quoted as saying by Fabrizio Romano.
“When it’s time to make a decision, you (the media) will know too. But for now, I’m fully focused on Liverpool making it a success this season.”
