Ukrainian’s tenth defeat in a row
Ukrainian tennis player Ilya Marchenko lost in the semi-finals of the ATP Challenger tournament qualification in Slovakia Bratislava.
Marchenko met with the Frenchman Valentin Royer, who received the sixth seeding selection. The intense duel lasted more than two hours.
In the first set, Ilya lost with a score of 2:5, but turned the tide of the game, won back a set point and won five games in a row. In the second set, the Ukrainian lost two of his serves, managing to take one from his opponent. The decisive game was played with an advantage for Roye, who advanced to the final qualifying round of the tournament.
Marchenko lost his tenth match in a row. The last time the Ukrainian won was in May at the ATP Challenger 75 tournament in Taipei, where he reached the final. Ilya dropped to the fifth hundred in the latest ATP rankings.
