The Ukrainian played half an hour, but all the main events happened before he appeared on the field.

On Sunday, October 27, Chelsea and Newcastle met at Stamford Bridge in London as part of the ninth round of the English Premier League.

Mikhail Mudrik, who became the hero of the Blues in the game with Panathinaikos (4:1) in the Conference League, remained on the bench. But even without him, Enzo Mareschi’s team coped with the enemy.

In the 18th minute, Cole Palmer sent a brilliant pass from his own half of the field to Pedro Neto, who burst into the penalty area and crossed to Nicholas Jackson. The forward completed the pass without any problems with a touching shot.

But even before the break, the Magpies recovered. In a similar situation, but with more players, Alexander Isak equalized from Lewis Hall’s pass.

The outcome of the match was decided by Palmer’s shot at the beginning of the second half. The Englishman dragged the ball towards the opponent’s goal without any resistance. Once in the penalty area, Cole fired a tight low shot into the near corner, which Nick Pope couldn’t handle.

In the 67th minute, Mudryk had more than 20 minutes at his disposal, but the Ukrainian did not distinguish himself in anything particularly remarkable.

As a result, the match ended in a victory for Chelsea with a score of 2:1. The Londoners are back in the TOP 4, now with 17 points. Newcastle remained 12th with 12 points.
