Manchester United beat Leicester in the League Cup in their first game since Ten Hag was sacked

Casemiro and Fernandes scored doubles for the Red Devils

Manchester United won on home field in a high-scoring match Leicester within the 1/8 finals English League Cup – 5:2.

The teams scored six goals between them in the first half. Casemiro scored a brace for the Red Devils, while Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes scored a goal each. The visitors responded with precise shots from Bilal el-Hannus and Conor Coady. In the second half, Fernandes scored another double in the match.

Let us remind you that this match was the first for Manchester United after the dismissal of Erik Ten Hag as head coach. In the game against Leicester, the team was led by Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
