Former midfielder of the USSR and Russian national football teams Andrei Kanchelskis said the dismissal of Tomas Amaral from Spartak did not surprise him.
On Sunday, Spartak announced the resignation of Amaral from the post of sports director. The Portuguese has held this position since the end of 2023. The general director of the “Red-Whites” Oleg Malyshev said that the club already had a candidate for the vacant position.
— I was not surprised when I learned about another dismissal at Spartak. The club has already taught everyone that no one stays there for long. In this regard, “Spartak” is the most stable club in Russia: there is constant chaos and confusion there,” Kanchelskis was quoted as saying by RB Sport.
Spartak scored 28 points in 15 rounds of the MIR RPL and is fifth in the standings.
