Daniel is very ambitious and expects the outcome of the meeting in December
IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) is counting on a fight with the winner of the head-to-head confrontation between the WBO/WBA/IBO/WBC heavyweight world champion Alexander Usik (22-0, 14 KOs) and former WBC belt holder Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
Initially, Dubois expects to defend his title in February 2025, as the IBF will oblige the boxer to do so. However, a potential unification fight for the title of absolute world champion could adjust plans.
“The Usyk-Fury rematch will be something special. It will be interesting to see what we come up with with Daniel,” said the promoter Frank Warren.
“I truly believe Tyson will win the fight, so another world title fight for the British would be absolutely outstanding.”
“But what a great rematch it would be for Dubois with Usyk, regardless of whether he wins or loses on December 21.”
