UEFA has removed the 42-year-old referee from the upcoming 2024/25 Nations League matches, where he was supposed to be in charge of VAR

The Sun published a video that allegedly shows the 42-year-old referee snorting white powder while on duty at Euro 2024.
The video is believed to have been taken at the hotel on July 6, the day after his last assignment at Euro 2024 as VAR referee for the Portugal v France quarter-final.
A statement released by UEFA today confirmed that an investigation had been launched into a potential breach of rules at the hotel.
UEFA has also removed the 42-year-old referee from the upcoming 2024/25 Nations League matches, where he is expected to be in charge of VAR.
Previously, David Coote was caught in another scandalous incident when, in a video published on the X network, he called the Merseysiders “shit” and Jurgen Klopp a “German asshole.” Coote was suspended by England’s refereeing regulator as a result of these remarks. PGMOL.
David Coote has been officiating at Premier League matches since 2018. The referee has officiated minor league matches since 2010.
