Krasnoperov: Most likely, the Kremen-Mariupol match will not take place due to the financial problems of our club

The Azov club is busy looking for investors to save its professional status

Head coach Mariupol Oleg Krasnoperov spoke about the current state of affairs in the club, as well as about the postponed match of his team against Flint within the 18th round First League.

“Nothing is known yet about the Kremin – Mariupol match. Most likely, it will not take place due to the financial problems of our club. [Президент ФСК Мариуполь] Alexander Yaroshenko is in contact with the team, but there is nothing new about the debts; they are not being paid.”

“Now I’ll rest for a couple of days and think about the future. We need to look for people who care about football and who want to have a football team. I don’t see any other options. You don’t have to ask about fees, the main thing now is to find investors, and then think about who will remain on the team and what tasks will be faced. Who is looking for investors, me or Yaroshenko? I understand that everyone is looking. But there are no specifics yet.”

“No one has left yet. But you understand that we haven’t been paid for five months, and the players can write to the CDC at any time and terminate their contracts. I think this will most likely happen. Will the team gather for training in the coming days? No, all the players have already gone home.”

Earlier it was reported that the fate of the match between Kremin and Mariupol would be decided at a meeting of the PFL CDC. The game did not take place on time and was postponed due to a long air raid raid in Kremenchug.

Let us remind you that Mariupol already has one failure to appear for a match this season. The Azov club did not participate in the 11th round match against YUKSA due to a three-month salary arrears to the players. After that, Oleg Krasnoperov’s team played all their matches according to the calendar, and, in particular, they managed to obtain funding through the “help of well-wishers.”

In September there was information that FSK Mariupol could acquire ex-defender of Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team Yaroslav Rakitsky. Alexander Yaroshenko subsequently stated in an interview that he did not conduct any negotiations with Rakitsky on this subject.

In the standings of Group B of the First League, Mariupol ranks sixth with 18 points. Oleg Krasnoperov’s team did not make it into the championship group and will have to play in the spring in the group in which the fight will be to maintain registration in the First League.
