Andorra beat Liechtenstein, Latvia lost to Moldova in Division D of the League of Nations

The Latvian national team missed the opportunity to win group 1 ahead of schedule

Latvia lost at home Moldova (1:2) in the match of the 5th round of group 1 Division D League of Nations.

The guests took the lead in the middle of the first half thanks to the efforts of Ioan-Kalin Revenko. Before the break, Ion Nicolaescu increased Moldova’s advantage.

In the second half, Janis Ikaunieks reduced the gap in the score, but Latvia did not have enough for more.

In the second match of group 1 Liechtenstein lost at home Andorra. The victory was brought to the guests by the goals of Albert Rosas and Joan Servos.

Latvia leads Group 1, two points ahead of Moldova with the round before the end of the group stage. Andorra is in third place with seven points.

In the final round on September 25, Latvia will play away against Andorra, while Moldova will host Liechtenstein at home.
