The Ukrainian Premier League named the best coach and player for the first month of the championship. Since the championship started with a significant delay, only on August 23, it was decided to award the prize two months early.
According to the organization’s official website, representatives of Rivne Veres won both nominations. According to the voting results, the club’s midfielder Dmitry Klets was recognized as the best footballer, who got 31.2% of the vote. In four league games, he scored one goal and one assist.
The best coach was Veres’ mentor Yuriy Wirth, who received 48.9% of the vote.
Note that among the nominees there is not a single representative of the leaders of domestic football – Dynamo and Shakhtar.
Players also fought for the prize: Dmitry Nepogodov (Chernomorets) – 23.1%, Denis Bezborodko (Zarya/Kolos) – 19.2%, Alexander Pikhalenok (Dnepr-1) – 17.9% and Andrey Tsurikov (Alexandria) – 8.6%.
Among the mentors, the contenders are: Alexander Kucher (Dnepr-1) – 23.3%, Yaroslav Vishnyak (Kolos) – 10.7%, Patrick van Leeuwen (Zarya) – 9.3% and Valery Kriventsov (Metallist 1925) – 7, eight%.
Recall that after four played rounds Veres took the fifth place in the standings of the Ukrainian Premier League, gaining nine points.
