Verstappen’s Honda Civic Type R is up for auction again

The sports hatchback Honda Civic Type R GT, which was available to Max Verstappen until the end of 2021, is being auctioned again. “Again” because a year ago Max sold it at a charity auction organized by Red Bull, and the money raised for the world champion car was donated to the Wings for Life Foundation, which funds research into the treatment of spinal cord injuries.

It seems that the person who subsequently bought this Honda Civic Type R barely used it: it is reliably known that it had a mileage of 58048 km a year ago and has grown by less than 400 km a year later. The 2018 320 hp car with a six-speed manual transmission is registered in the Netherlands, where it is now located.

It is sold through the online platform Catawiki, and so far they are offering 20 thousand euros for it, but it is expected that the car will eventually go under the hammer for three times as much. Bets can be placed until December 19, so someone could get a unique Christmas gift.

The car is distinguished by the fact that it bears signatures personally left by Max Verstappen, which already increases its value. Meanwhile, the two-time world champion continues to ride on the Japanese concern’s products: we recently said that Honda’s management presented him with a very rare Honda NSX Type S sports car, produced in an edition of only 350 units.
