Formula E: Envision introduced its new car

Formula E’s official pre-season testing begins tomorrow at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, and this can be considered the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the electric championship, as the third generation of cars (Gen3) the circuit will appear. For the first time.

Most teams have already presented their new cars and today the British-Chinese Envision Racing has joined. From the ninth season, she will use Jaguar power plants and transmissions, and an experienced professional like Sebastien Buemi became Nick Cassidy’s new partner.

Gen3 machines are slightly more compact and 60 kg lighter than the previous generation, their maximum speed has been increased to 280 km / h and energy recovery systems have become much more efficient.

Tomorrow, the tests in Valencia will take place in two three-hour sessions: the first will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the second will start at 2 p.m. On Wednesday, the Formula E teams will run a full simulation of the race, on Thursday there will be a break and on Friday there will be two more three-hour sessions.
