Haas F1 drivers are out in the second part of qualifying and are counting on rain for tomorrow’s race…
Gunther SteinerTeam Principal: “After good results in the third practice session, we expected to reach the qualifying final with two cars, but there were some unfortunate events, some minor mistakes – and we were eliminated in the second session.
We know the car has speed, tomorrow we will fight no matter how hard it is. There are usually few overtakings in Monaco, but there is a chance of rain and red flags – I hope not because of our drivers.
Kevin Magnussen (13th): “Everything went well, the car was okay, but in the second session it was not possible to achieve more.
From 13th position I hope for rain. If the race is full of incidents, we have a chance to recoup. The car has speed, now fingers crossed that it will rain tomorrow.
Mick Schumacher (15th): “The battle in the middle group was very exciting today. I didn’t have enough to make it to the final by three or four tenths, but if I managed to add the second sector there was a chance.
Due to a car trouble in the first practice, I have to make up for the whole weekend. In qualifying we almost didn’t change the settings, which may help tomorrow. I hope they will work in the race, and the weather will help us bounce back.
