Alex Albon had a great qualifying in Miami, with an 11th fastest time, and his American teammate Logan Sargent was last on the home track.
Alex Albon (11th): “I did everything I could and I’m happy to start the race from a high position. Sometimes you get frustrated when you’re 11th because there was very little time before you reached the final of qualifying, but this time I feel like I did well.
We went in the right direction looking for settings, I put in a good lap. It’s not easy to get our car’s tires to work, you need a perfect warm-up lap, and this time we did it. I don’t know how the tires will perform in the race, but from 11th I’m optimistic about the race.”
Logan Sargent (20th): “Between third practice and qualifying we made a good step forward, I was literally a few tenths short of getting into the second session. I had to attack in the first fast lap and I decided to add the second, but in the second and third sectors the tires lost their effectiveness. On Sunday I will try to play in as many positions as possible.”
