The head of AlphaTauri, Franz Tost, spoke about Daniel Riccardo’s condition after surgery on an injured hand. Daniel continues to recover at the clinic, but it is still too early to give an accurate prediction for his return to the wheel.
“Given the circumstances, he feels good,” Franz Tost told Germany’s Sky Sport. – When I called him, he was undergoing therapeutic procedures. Let’s see how fast the recovery process will go. I hope it’s a matter of weeks and it won’t be too many of those weeks.
It’s safe to say we won’t see Daniel driving for the next two to three weeks.”
Franz Tost has even confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo will miss the Singapore Grand Prix, which takes place in less than two weeks. Riccardo’s participation in the Japanese leg of the championship, which will be held from September 22 to 24, is also under discussion.
