AlphaTauri is preparing a series of updates for Singapore

Big changes await AlphaTauri in 2024, starting with the name, although that’s not the most important thing. Laurent Mekies will replace Franz Tost as head of the team, it will have new sponsors and its cars will be technologically closer to the Red Bull chassis, which can safely be considered the best in modern Formula 1.

But now AlphaTauri is in last place in the Constructors’ Championship, with only three points to its name, but measures are already being taken to correct the situation. According to Peter Bayer, director of the team, Red Bull Racing’s developments are starting to be applied in Faenza and the AT04 car will receive a whole range of technical innovations already in Singapore.

Because there are budgetary constraints, as well as the current technical regulations, we must remain an independent Formula 1 team, but we must continue to develop and find our feet. Of course, there should be no contradiction when it comes to the support we receive from Red Bull.

We can still build on that technical cooperation, that is what we strive for. The fact that we still have not used the Red Bull suspension, although we are allowed to, was simply a mistake…’
