Recently, Gazzetta dello Sport reported, based on sources, that Ferrari had practically reached agreement on a new contract with Charles Leclerc until the end of 2029. Today, new details about the progress of the negotiation process appeared in the Italian press.
According to the latest information, Charles Leclerc has not yet signed the contract, which indeed implies a continuation of the collaboration for another five years according to the 3+2 formula. This means that the Monegasque has been given a three-year contract and an option for a further two years after the three years have expired.
Negotiations with Carlos Sainz continue. Initially, Ferrari offered the Spaniard a one-year contract until 2025, but apparently we are now talking about a two-year contract until the end of the 2026 season.
As always happens in such cases, Ferrari does not officially comment on press publications.
